Chatbot Telegram Integration

The Chatbot Telegram Integration allows you to connect your Markleyo AI chatbot to Telegram, enabling your telegram users to chat with your AI directly in the app. It also supports the Human Agent feature, so you can manage live chats from the Markleyo AI dashboard when users request human support.

What is Telegram Integration?

This integration allows your chatbot to:

• Respond to messages on your Telegram bot

• You can share announcements to your telegram

• Handle customer inquiries automatically

• Escalate to human agents on markleyo AI unibox feature

• Send notifications and updates

Prerequisites

• Telegram account (free at telegram.org)

• Markleyo AI account with active chatbot

Step-by-Step Integration

Step 1: Create a Telegram Bot

1. Open Telegram (download if needed)

2. Search for "BotFather" (official Telegram bot creator)

3. Start conversation with BotFather

4. Send command: /newbot

5. BotFather asks for bot name and username

6. Choose a unique username (e.g., @MyCompanyBot)

7. BotFather returns your Bot Token (keep this secret!)

Step 2: Get Your Bot Token

BotFather will provide a token like:

Copy the token, you'll need it for Markleyo integration.

Step 3: Connect to Markleyo

1. In Markleyo, go to AI Chatbot → edit your bot

2. Click "Channels" tab

3. Click "Telegram" Logo

4. Paste your Telegram Bot Name and Bot Token from BotFather

5. Click "Add Channel"

Step 4: Test the Integration

1. Open Telegram

2. Search for your bot by username (e.g., @MyCompanyBot)

3. Click "Start" to begin conversation

4. Send test messages

5. Verify responses
